 In a general sense, in prophecy God presents himself as a man who marries a woman. This picture is used in quite a few different places in the old testament, so it's likely here that the woman represents something that is by nature similar to the bride of Christ. A man represents protection and provision and a woman represents nurture. In the end the kings of the earth turn on the women and completely expose her for who she is, devour her, burn her, and destroy her. To apply this to the real world as an illustration, this could indicate nations' leaders coming together to public expose this entity, throw the book at it with fines and penalties, seize the buildings and assets, imprison the ring leaders, and destroy all propaganda materials.

		+	* This does keep reminding me of an organized religious system (any religion, not just Christianity) which is paid off by the kings of the earth, rather than truly meeting people's spiritual needs. I don't know of any religious system that does this, and both radical and pacifist wings of any religion often reject systems which preach blind obedience to government.
